Tessa Sacramone, based in the Greater New Haven area, is a freelance violinist who recently completed her MMus. in violin performance at Boston University studying under Bayla Keyes. A classically trained musician, she plays orchestral, chamber, and solo repertoire of that genre, but also performs in ensembles and concerts of rock, pop, indie, and new music. She frequently works with composers and artists of various genres in studio settings such as Glassnote Records artist Oberhofer on his album Time Capsules II produced by Five-time Grammy Award winner Steve Lillywhite. Stemming from her lust for travel, she spent Spring 2011 studying music in Florence, Italy where she and her piano trio performed frequent gigs and put on a solo concert for the community of Prato with renowned Italian flutist Roberto Fabbriciani. She has attended The Meadowmount School of Music and Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in recent summers under the private instruction of Ann Setzer, with whom she studied for four years during her time at New York University. Tessa also sings and writes original music of the folk and acoustic genre which she performs on her violin and guitar. In her free time she enjoys outdoor exploration, biking, drinking tea, and attending live concerts!
